Learn more aboutthe Bali Sarong
The Bali sarong batik cloth is a practical travel utensil especially for travelers and travel enthusiasts because of its versatility.
For example, the batik sarong looks great as a beach towel or bikini wrap, or resort wear.
In addition, the large batik cloth can be easily converted into hippie-style beach clothing with a few clever knotting techniques.
For example as a wrap skirt or beach dress. See our pictures as a little inspiration for you.
In addition, the hippie scarf also looks very cool when tied around the neck. Or, for example, as a boho turban and hippie headscarf.
You can also use it as a picnic blanket, wall decoration or tablecloth.
Because the great colors and the interesting pattern is just beautiful to look at. Apart from that, the batik print is made by hand. A batik wax printing process that is very typical for Indonesia was used for this. The pattern decorations are painted on the fabric with liquid wax. Then the different colors are applied. And then the wax is removed again.
Please note that wax residues can still remain in some places on the sarongs. However, these go out again after the first machine wash. Or when ironing.
Another plus point is the light, airy viscose fabric. This dries very quickly and is almost wrinkle-free.

Bali Sarong and the culture
In Bali, the Hindu-influenced believe “Agama Hindu Dharma” plays a crucial role and shapes the everyday life of the Balinese. Anyone who has ever been on holiday there must have noticed the numerous small baskets decorating Bali’s streets. The bowls made of palm leaves, filled with flowers, rice and sometimes even coins, sweets, crackers or cigarettes, are offerings.
On the “Island of 1.000 Temples” there are more temples than houses. Even private homes have at least one temple where the Balinese daily offer the small offerings. These serve the purpose of kindling the gods and appeasing the evil demons. They pray for protection and health for the family as well as a good harvest.
The sacrificial offering naturally includes traditional clothing such as the sarong. Also when entering the temple grounds or at ceremonies the sarong is obligatory and custom. In these modern times it has also become a fashion accessory and is offered in different colours and fabrics.
